I was studying for my finals and recorded my notes. I have NEVER fallen asleep in the bath!!. I listened to them whilst in the bath, I woke up in cold water. HA I don't know about music but I found out that my voice is.
No beats. It's called True Ambient.
That's the classic definition of ambient music, stated by Brian Eno in 1978 on the sleeve Taking into account our writers' interpretation of those loose guidelines, here's our list of the 50 best ambient albums.. Sleep Dealer.
This was the guy who put the DNA 12” on American Clavé in my hands; I tended to trust him, even if his name escapes me now. While I can’t pinpoint the first title that sparked my love affair with long-form music, I do remember holing up with a copy of Terry Riley ’s Persian Surgery Dervishes after being repeatedly steered toward it by the well-meaning Meredith Monk disciple who effectively ran the Record Collector’s Depot in Ridgewood, NJ in the owner’s frequent absence. It was only a handful of leaps from here to François Bayle’s Erosphére, and, if anything I’d discovered in my youth colored my current sensibilities, it is the “Toupie Dans Le Ciel” segment of this piece, still glorious in its asynchronous resolve—in retrospect, the atom that led to Generators and my interest in working with analogue synthesis as an escape from the rigor of computer music.
Just Beach House. I love them and they are perfect sleeping music.. I enjoy falling asleep to Selected Ambient Works Vol. II by Aphex Twin.

Tycho is definiy my go-to for sleepy time music.
It's not like I really don't fall asleep it's just that is harder than with other music. It's like because it's so quiet and ungraspable my mind pays much more attention.
The best music to sleep to or for relaxing and unwinding. Hand picked soothing music from the classical, ambient, world and meditation genres.
So this is my extensively researched list of the best music to sleep to. I’ve split it into classical, contemporary classica, chill-out and ambient, and finally world music.
However, I haven’t tried it for sleeping. Classical music is also very helpful when I need to work and stay focused. Interesting article!. I am going to give it try for sure.
In fact, it’s 10:35 PM now, and time to go night-night…. Guess what’s rolling. Global Communication 14:31 (I just roll the entire 76:14 release) with rainymood.com has never failed me.
This article lists good music to help you sleep from the chill-out and ambient genres, with great examples of relaxing music that will help you fall.
This is the 1998 debut album from the music project of Simon Posford and Raja Ram - Sphongle. If you have never heard any of Sphongle's work before, then the chances are you will have never heard anything quite like it. If you don't want to listen to the long and slow intro, skip to the 3:40 mark to get a good taste of their style. In the psychedelic trance scene, and sometimes beyond, it remains one of the most highly regarded ambient albums of all time.
So without further ado, here is my hand picked list of good music to fall sleep to that falls (roughly!) under the chill-out and ambient categories.
