The first Noise Reduction audio example is a recording by James Schramko with broadband background noise.

The default setting of parameter Fore/Background is Auto, which is shown in Audio Example 3. Example 5, a constructed excerpt from NSFW084, illustrates the parameter Fore/Background and our Automatic Ducking feature. It includes two male speech and one music track.

If you want to use our multitrack version, please also read our Multitrack Best Practice to get some important pratical tips!. Please see the Auphonic Multitrack Algorithms Documentation for detailed information about our multitrack algorithms.

Then a classifier decides how much noise reduction is necessary in each region (because too much noise reduction might result in artifacts) and removes the noise from the audio signal automatically.

A protip by nathansmonk about css, photoshop, and noise.

wow.interesting. Let me try it 2017.

I originally saw the CSS in another site. @mightymeta I had no idea, really sorry.

I'll update the tip with a link and credit for sure though. Thanks.

Then add your desired colour with the following:

Then go to any img to base-64 site and you are set. :) VERY COOL!.

I found an interesting post on Stackoverflow on how to create a noisy background with html5, javascript and the canvas element, in this Fiddle there is an experiment with dynamic noise creating and Nathans idea: http://jsfiddle.net/osserpse/6SZQY/

nice post.

In some cases, background noise is not considered unpleasant at all. For example, many restaurants utilize music playing softly in the background as a way to create a more inviting ambiance for diners. The idea is to set the volume of the music so that conversing in normal tones is possible, but the music helps to relax customers and enjoy the meal.

However, the use of background music is sometimes complicated with the use of evisions placed around the dining area.

Statistically the LA90 value is often used to describe background noise levels and LA90 level for 90% of the time, and is written as L90 = 30 dBA for example.

In other words the measured level was lower than the stated LA90 level for 90% of the time, and is written as L90 = 30 dBA for example. Statistically speaking the LA90 value is commonly used to describe background noise levels and is defined as the noise level just exceeded for 90% of the time. The 'A' indicating the measurement was A-weighted.

Measuring background noise levels as low as 30 dBA should not be a problem for Class 1 meters as the lower limit, set by the 'noise floor' of the individual meter's electronic circuitry, is typically < 20 dBA for modern precision meters.

It is also referred to as the Ambient or Residual Noise.
